Cardinal on Snowy Lamppost

Most of my best paintings were created in the morning hours.
This is not a coincidence.
In the morning there is something that doesn't exist at other times of day: the possibility that the day hasn't gone yet. It's still unknown what will happen. And that possible — it enters the colour.
I feel that morning works are more open. They have less control and more trust in the process. My hands find the right colour before my head tells me what it is.
Try it: paint after the first coffee, before the phone starts.
